The Workshop
The Metro NExT Workshop is a mathematics pedagogy and professional development workshop that is open for all graduate students, postdocs, and early-career mathematicians in the NYC metro area.
The workshop is also open to anyone who might be interested in learning about new teaching techniques and in making connections with other math educators. You do not have to be a Metro NExT Fellow to attend.
The workshop is sponsored and organized by the Metro NY Section of the MAA and hosted via Zoom. There is no fee to attend the workshop. Please register here!

Teaching Ethics and/or Social Justice in Mathematics. Short Bio Dr. Allison Miller is an assistant professor of mathematics at Swarthmore College. In addition to teaching a variety of courses and maintaining an interest in math education, she does research in low-dimensional topology, exploring what knots and surfaces can tell us about the strange world of 4-dimensional topology. |
